Project Description

Our creative centred on contrast: between stillness and movement, hesitation and confidence. We combined journey-led storytelling with soft, observational moments, demonstrating the joy of being challenged. Intimate instructor insights sit alongside visuals of expansive coastal landscapes, highlighting the balance between curiosity and fear, and showing how a young sailor’s first experience on the water nurtures not only their skills at sea, but their resilience in life.

We wanted this film to portray the rush of sailing alongside genuine moments of struggle, creating a true-to-life depiction of both the sport and the academy experience. Through these highs and lows, we celebrate resilience, growth, and the unique sense of accomplishment that comes from facing the unknown, showing that the Clearwater Bay Sailing Academy offers students far more than just enjoyment on the water.

What We Did

Out at sea, nothing is in your control. Sailing is a lesson in adaptability and trust in the unknown. Through its Community Outreach & Charity Programme, the Clearwater Bay Sailing Academy opens the water to local youth, offering them the opportunity to learn, grow, and discover their potential. Built on the belief that sport shapes mindset as much as skill, our ambition extended beyond raising awareness. It was about inspiring participation and showing that sailing isn’t just about learning a sport, but about learning how to navigate life.
