Project Description
Hong Kong’s Mega 8 is a curated stretch of world-class events and cultural moments across March and April. It offers a compelling window into what gives the city its unique spirit and restless energy.
For the Hong Kong Tourism Board, the opportunity was twofold: to draw attention to this period and to celebrate the homegrown arts and culture scene that lends Hong Kong its creative identity. Rather than a broad sweep, the idea was to find a single, authentic lens through which both stories could be told, inviting audiences, local and global alike, to see the city differently.
In shaping this piece, we set out to capture the idea that art isn’t found, it’s noticed. This distinction shaped our every decision, including how we moved through the city. We kept our approach fluid, with a semi run-and-gun spirit, letting Constance lead and the city naturally show itself rather than staging either. We balanced that spontaneity with just enough visual flair to reflect the panache of the subject matter itself. Our through line was perspective: the idea that a simple shift is all it takes to notice what was always there and recognise it as art.

What We Did
How do you see a familiar city with fresh eyes? Leveraging Hong Kong’s annual Art Basel season, we partnered with the Hong Kong Tourism Board and followed singer-songwriter Constance Chan as she wandered from Central to the cultural landmarks of West Kowloon, rediscovering a city where art exists beyond gallery walls and inviting people to see it anew.
